Relieve the stress of a busy day with this relaxing technique that involves long broad strokes, with kneading and friction to improve circulation, relax the mind and body, and alleviate stress and fatigue.
Deep Tissue Massage
Techniques are used on specific muscle groups that are chronically tense. The goal is to break down adhesions in the muscle to increase muscle length and full range of motion.Work is done on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia. The pressure is always adjusted based on feedback from the client. A massage therapist may use their thumbs or elbows to apply pressure and unlock tension trapped deep beneath the skin’s surface. While firm pressure is applied, a deep tissue massage should not hurt.
Hot Stone Massage
Stone therapy is a powerful massage technique that involves heated stones to enhance circulation, and relieve stress and tension from the body.
From the mats of Thailand to The Spa at Pinehurst, this massage blends ancient eastern techniques with highly effective western Swedish methods. Utilizing dynamic stretching, movement therapy and deep tissue techniques, this massage will leave you feeling relaxed and balanced.
Swe-Thai has successfully been proven to alleviate pain and muscle tension, induce deep relaxation, help to balance the nervous system and increase flexibility. It also promotes a sense of calmness to refresh the mind.
The massage was created to address many conditions throughout the entire body while specifically treating any general neck and back disorders.

Raindrop Therapy Massage
Raindrop Technique® combines the artistry of aromatherapy with the massage. The Raindrop Technique is a method of using a combination of reflexology, massage techniques, and essential oils applied on the spine and on the feet. High quality essential oils by Young Living are placed on the reflex points of the feet where the spine is represented. The Raindrop Technique is designed to bring balance to the body with its relaxing and mild application. The Raindrop Technique also helps align the energy centers of the body and helps release them if blocked. You will receive the benefits of healing hands and oils as the Raindrop Technique is applied. Healing begins at the cellular level during this procedure.
Essential oils used during the Raindrop Technique:
- Valor (blend): cleanses the energy field, aligns and balances
- Oregano: attacks viruses and bacteria
- Thyme: attacks viruses and bacteria
- Basil: anti-spasmodic, headache relief
- Cypress: increases circulation
- Wintergreen: anti-inflammatory/anti-spasmodic, analgesic (pain reliever)
- Marjoram: relaxes musculature, lowers blood pressure
- Peppermint: anti-spasmodic, assists in “pushing” in all other oils
- Aroma Siez (blend): relaxing & soothing
Raindrop Technique has been known to increase the immune system, relieve back issues, and to create balance and harmony in the body – physically, mentally, and emotionally. Raindrop Technique focuses the healing essence of the essential oils directly to the spinal column where it is believed that viruses and bacteria lie dormant until the immune system weakens. The oils create an environment that is not hospitable to these “foreign” agents in our bodies and causes them to be eliminated naturally.
Raindrop Technique is also an effective detoxification and can assist you in eliminating symptoms associated with cold, flu and other common ailments.
Raindrop Technique is a very gentle therapy and offers you the opportunity to completely relax while improving your overall well-being on all levels.
Your therapist will provide a customized massage for your specific needs during pregnancy. This soothing massage will increase circulation, alleviate tired muscles, improve skin elasticity and reduce water retention. At the end of your massage your therapist will apply warm aromatherapy towels to your feet for one last bit of indulgence and relaxation. After a warm or cool beverage, we will send you back to the reality that awaits you.
Stretching is very important for everyone. No matter what your activity level, stretching helps the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints stay healthy and strong. Therapeutic Stretching performed by a skilled Massage Therapist helps maintain mobility, prevent injury and increase physical performance. Therapeutic Stretching is an umbrella term for use of different stretching techniques such as Active Isolated Stretching, Muscle Energy Testing, and Isometric Stretching. We integrate stretching into most of our Massage Therapy session because of the health benefits. Stretching should be a part of any healthy person’s regular daily routine. Going to a skilled massage therapist who can incorporate stretching into your regular massage sessions combines the health benefits of stretching and massage. Your body will be very grateful! Active Isolated Stretching is facilitated by a massage therapist to build flexibility with short, gentle stretching that builds in intensity rather than deep extended stretching. The body responds to overstretching by resisting as this is the body’s natural defense against injury. Active Isolated Stretching allows the body to ease into the deep stretching without holding long enough for the body to resist the stretch and incorporating movement in the stretching. This repetitive stretching trains the body to use this flexibility in regular motions. The Massage Therapist will aid the client in breathing into the stretch, gaining more flexibility than can be reached when stretching solo. Together with Healing Moments, you can develop a better understanding of how your body will respond to regular stretching and the easiest way to incorporate it into your regimen.
Home care is important and we know how important it is to educate our clients on how to properly stretch and take care of the body between appointments. Therapeutic Stretching is beneficial for athletic training, chronic pain, and building range of motion, injury rehabilitation, and joint health.
Reiki Energy Balancing Massage
What is Reiki?
Reiki (pronounced ray-key), is a non-invasive gentle yet powerful Japanese form of energy therapy that balances the body, mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually, enabling the body to do what it does best — heal itself. The word Reiki is derived from the Japanese words, Rei “universal” and Ki “life force or life energy.” Based on the idea that an unseen “universal life force” flows through each of us, Reiki healing is used as therapy for an array of emotional, spiritual and physical remedies. Popular for thousands of years across Asia because of the belief that physical pain stems from emotional, mental and spiritual states. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then one is more prone to being sick or to feel stress. If it is high, one is more capable of being healthy with a positive sense of well-being. Therefore, Reiki goes beyond the symptoms to the root cause of the problem.
The benefits of Reiki include:
- Natural and holistic healing
- Improves and balances the immune system
- Revitalization of the mind, body, and spirit
- Loosens blocked energy
- Cleanses toxins and impurities
- Promotes the release of emotions and stress
- Increases awareness and intuitiveness
- Provides deep relaxation
- Eases fatigue and frustration
- Provides new strength
- A tool for spiritual growth
- Enhances quality of life for the ill
Who is Reiki for?
Like meditation, Reiki is an energetic art that draws in a wide variety of clients. Reiki is not tied to any belief system and can be used by anyone. Common symptoms Reiki has been used to address include:
Spiritual: Reiki supports a greater sense of participation, purpose and meaning providing a broader perspective and sense of well-being.
Physical: People suffering from migraines, back pain, chronic fatigue, cancer, autoimmune disorders, and thyroid imbalances tout the benefits of Reiki. Emotional conditions: Reiki is used as a remedy for anxiety, lack of concentration, insomnia, ADD and ADHD, depression, coping, stress, crisis and trauma.
What is Reiki used for?
Reiki is used in hospitals especially in Cancer treatment for Pain, soothing and calming.
What is a Reiki Treatment like?
A Reiki healing treatment balances your system as a whole working to restore order to the body. People have different experiences, but most find it extremely relaxing and effortlessly meditative.
One thing to note is that Reiki differs from the traditional massage where therapists knead and rub muscles. In Reiki, the therapist’s hands are used to channel energy from the head to the seven centers (chakras) of the body.
